i've sent email vai hotmail is there anyway of finding out if the email has been read?

Even if there was there are usually ways round this.

I don't think hotmail does "read receipts"

You could ask for a read receipt but it`s still up to the recipient to send one back.

Even if it did all it would prove is the e-mail was opened, not necessary read though.

I think Yahoo Mail (paid for) offers a read receipt option/ have always preferred Yahoo mail to hotmail/gmail :cool:

I have a paid for Yahoo mail account, can't see anything. And under help:

If I send a message to someone, can I tell if they've received and read it?

No, Yahoo! Mail doesn't currently offer a "return receipt" feature.

Yeah but I have free Yahoo and Hotmail and both give return receipts, cos I use Thunderbird, and if I remember OP did (:D) did start using that didn't you? It's an Option when your write a mail.
