Why not try booking a hotel not in the centre but very near to a tube station? Tube will get you in the centre within 5 - 10 mins.
Much better value hotels, often with local bars, shops etc.On the internet you can be anything you want. It`s strange so many people choose to be rude and stupid.0 -
Try top secret hotels on lastminute.com. We stayed at the Hilton Canary wharf for £75 per night last year. As long as you are within walking distance of a tube or DLR station you can travel.0

Priceline.co.uk click on name your own price -bidding advice and winning bids can be found on https://www.biddingfortravel.com and https://www.betterbidding.com (but remember their prices shoow in dollars so you'll need to convert-but you BID in pounds)I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -
checkout superbreak - I have had some great deals with them - especially in South Kensington ( Millennium Baileys or Gloucester) - its right next door to the tube and only takes 5 mins to central LondonI have had brain surgery - sorry if I am a little confused sometimes

Another Op posted similar question earlier tonight and she seemed to answer her own question. No-one could suggest better for cheaper so she booked it although £35 sounds to good to be true..

Just wondering if anyone knew of any better rates, want to be a near to the centre as poss as we r only there for a short time"Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop once in a while and look around, you might miss it. Ferris Bueller was on to something there.0 -

we paid £98 a night for a family room and included breakfast for us all ! when we go back will stay at the same hotel.

We stayed in the Travelodge City Road a couple of years ago and would recommend it - it's close to a couple of tube stations and was really nicely done when we went (I think I remember reading that they'd done it as a flagship hotel for their new, more modern room style - it's still a Travelodge at the end of the day but definately at the nicer end of the scale) although it was almost brand new at the time.
Not sure what days next week you're going but just done a quick check for you and they have saver rates for next Thurs (£62.95) and Fri (£49.50), before then it's more expensive, generally £85-£90 a night although Sunday is only £59.95. Go to http://www.travelodge.co.uk/saver_rooms/ and stick London in the search box if you want to check out the rates.0 -
You can get a good standard 4* central london hotel for around £80/night or sometimes just under through Secret Hotels or Priceline. Can be even cheaper in docklands on a weekend. At the moment occupancy is very low so you will be best off waiting till 3 days or so before to book. If you want to give me more precise dates I can do a quick search for you.
Of course if you are willing to compromise on quality you can still get an acceptable place for under £60.
£35 hotels in Earls Court are fleapits. Travelodges are a bit pointless considering you can pay just a little more and get a product 3 or 4 x the quality. Premier Inns are fine in other cities but do not offer value for money in London.0
