    so you dont know?

OP it could be that the ABS sensor and ring have dirt grit rust between them, or the abs sensor has had it day.

    What would cause that then?

    Would lack of use?

If you've put alcohol in the brake cylinder it's probably belching;)

On a serious not I would not use a vehicle that had been stood for 8 months without checking over the basics of the braking system, ie, brake calipers, sensors, drums shoes pads etc any of which can be rusted/seized etc ie get a full pull apart brake check done before you delve deeper.

Oh, Genis wouldn't now, his vehicle stops when you stop pedaling:o:o:o:o
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed

if you mean the pedal is pulsing when you press it then odds on there is lump of pad rusted/stuck to the disc. Easy job to fix (and if it's not the problem then the checking process will identify the real problem)

    My first thought as well.

    Seized caliper piston probably.

If the brake pedal pulsates, chances are it's the ABS cutting in, however given the length of time the van's been standing, and depending where (if it's in a garage it's not exposed to the elements), it could quite easily be corrsion on the discs which could have this effect depending on how bad it is. I believe all Sprinter's have Discs all round, which would make corrosion more prominant given the exposure of the discs.

stigy its been on the garage
i brought it to albania in 2008 and had to turn back sudently due to work
since then i use it as a ''taxi'' whenever i come back to my dad s house but never had this kind of problem and its been standing still for even longer times without doing this... it started with the first try aswell .
will have a look at as much as i can myself and can change pads myself aswell.
disc themselves got long life ahead as you can barely notice any scratch if you touch the edges of the disc
if i find corrision on the discs..is it soft sanding paper a way to deal with or anything else? thanks
