Hi,
Ive been looking into this company for some time now and its charting software for use with spreadbets, does anyone in this forum use it, and was it worth the money?
Ive been to the seminar and read everything on the site, ive tried to find independant reviews but cannot seem to speak directly to anyone who has brought it. So if anyone here has please could you let me know how you are getting on with it.
Thanks
Tom

No disrespect mate, but based on most of your posts you are involved in financial services or advisement? I am surprised you would be taken in by snake oil salesmen, save your money.Hope for the best.....Plan for the worst!

I’m sorry but do you not research anything? I hear about many different things and ways of making money, but if you don’t look into anything you won’t get anywhere in life. I do know a lot of spread betting software and so called blackbox systems are useless and a waste of money. That’s why I’m doing research and looking for people who have actually used this system.
So have you actually ever heard of this company? or have you just seen the words software and spread betting in the same sentence and automatically posted that response?.0 -
As I said, no disrespect, yes I have heard of the company, and no I have not used their software. To be clear I have no issue with this companies software, or many other "trading systems" for that matter. The fact is a great many systems do work, under the correct circumstances, and when applied by people who understand them, and obey the rules that they come with. Often when a system is said to be useless it is the fault of the operator, not the system.
The issue I have with paying for systems is that there isn't one out there that you or I can afford to buy that is significantly better than many of the systems you can find freely available on the web.
What I mean by that, is that Goldman Sachs pay their programmers $100,000's to develop systems, which are really special, but one of the critical components in what they analyze is order flow, and unless you work in a brokerage that handles the kind of order flow that GS handles, then you don't have access to that sort of information.
So my advice is, if you want to trade based on some sort of system spend your research time testing the free ones out there, until you can find one you are comfortable with. Alternatively spend the time learning how to technically analyze markets and trade that way.Hope for the best.....Plan for the worst!

If this software was any good, do you think they would sell it to mug punters? They would be on the road to becoming the next Goldman Sachs! In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:0

Thanks Tradetime, that is the sort of answer i was expecting. I already trade company shares profitably, but do this through research into the companys history and future prospects rather than technical charts. Like you said I think the next step would be to look at the free charting software and go from there. Thanks for your help

You're welcome, apologies as my first response was a little blunt, I just hate to see people spend a lot of money on system software when it isn't necessary and in most cases will not deliver the results they are expecting, for all sorts of reasons.
If you are looking for real time charting intraday, you may struggle to find anything for free, I haven't looked recently, but if end of day charts suffice, ProRealTime used to have some sort of free access. Am not connected to them and have not used them so can't say whether they are any good or not, but it'll be a starting point for research if nothing else.Hope for the best.....Plan for the worst!

By the way:
There is one reason why free systems on the internet are free....because they don't work.
Would you turn up to race in formula one with a beat up 1970 Ford that you got for free, no. You buy a fast engine from an established firm such as Renault and WIN. Its the same for trading, why waste your time searching for something that wont work when you can buy a system and and win straight away...0 -
so, given there are trading systems which cost millions, why would you use one which only costs (i imagine) thousands? if price is a rough guide to quality, trendsignal is the beat-up 1970 ford.0
-
Ok, so tell me this:
If you developed a trading system and earned very good money from it say 3 million per year tax free. It would make sense to see if you can earn extra money by selling the system, you have already made the system so selling extra copies is very straight forward. This may bring in an extra 500K per year. This brings your total year to 3.5 million and 500K of that is money for nothing. Its common sense.
You mentioned some trading systems costs millions, how do you know Trendsignal didnt cost millions to develop and they are selling it to recoup the money they spent? Microsoft do it, they design products that costed millions then sell them for £89.. Its the SAME THING! No-one would buy windows for the PC if it costed 3 million would they? They would however buy it if it costed £89 and ten million people buying it would recoup the cost spent on it. Its a numbers game! if you can't work out that you should stick to what you know.
I don't know how people can be negative against something if they have never tried it. If we all were like yourself we would be still living in caves, thankfully we are not.0
