Just wanted to let off a little steam about a delivery from City Link, they were due to deliver on the 30th December (checked on the website and item was due between 7am - midday).

By late afternoon nothing had arrived and the website had not been updated so I called the depot which is about 30 miles away from me to discover that my item was still at the depot and had not been loaded for delivery. The reason given for this was because of the backlog caused by the bad weather just before Christmas. Due to this backlog I asked if I could collect from the depot myself and this was arranged - they even updated the website to show I had decided to collect myself.

Next day before driving to the depot I go back to the City Link website to print out details in case they are needed and notice that my item is down to be delivered and has been loaded on to a van - a call to them confirms this and they cannot explain why it was loaded.

I explained that I was not happy with this and they did call the driver to find out when he was likely to get to me and I was told between 2pm and 4pm, so thought it would be safe for me to go out and be back at home for this time period.

You've guessed it delivery person arrived just after 1pm.

I did get my item as someone else was home but really annoyed at the fact that I could have made a wasted journey to the depot.

I ordered a pressure washer from karcher on 17th dec, its still sat in the citylink depot where it was taken to be brought to my local depot.

mine in hub 13 got to delivery depot 04 got told we could get it from depot today as it wasnt out for delivery yet - took half day from work waited 30 minutes and they cant find it
