So how could this HB/LHA effect us? Were council tenants, have been since August 09 and get LHA. Is there a chance that we could have to pay X amount towards our rent in the future?

If you're council tenants your rent shouldn't be assessed by LHA.

Glad I was able to help!!

The circulars are issued to all hb offices but are available on line via the dwp!
I currently manage a Housing Benefit service and have been working in Housing / council tax benefit (as was) since 2001.

You do not get LHA so it is not relevaNT TO YOU.

If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing

Why do some people on benefits feel the need to stress they are not 'scroungers'.

Of course you are not scroungers!
