Hello there! DH is just having a bit of a Bank Holiday clear out and has found some original newspaper editions - e.g. Daily Mirror 'Peace In Our Time' 15.8.45 kind of thing. We wouldn't mind selling them but having looked at Ebay it seems they would be pretty worthless! Any advice please!
TIA - Louise

i sold some WW2 newspapers a few years ago and got about a fiver each for themLifes a !!!!! and then you marry one:D0 -
depending on whats in them - you could try the local library or family history group - i know i've taken upteem scans and photo copies of newspapers that had pieces in about my family. you should try ebay anyway as there could be a collector / historian out there who'd pay for them.0

A friend of mine had a collection of newspapers, featuring important world events dating back to the 1960s, which he thought should be worth something.
He discovered that unless newspapers are in pristine condition, they are usually not collectible. Also, they are not particularly rare, as thousands have been kept.
He was able to get up to £5 for some, but others sold for 99p. Overall, he probably just recouped their original face value, after inflation."The secret of life is honesty and fair dealing.

Try advertising directly on ebay.com (the US version). Those chaps on the other side of the Atlantic seem to be 'avid' collectors of all things Brit. Just remember to give a realistic quote for international shipping.
Good luck!
