i second empty margaine tub's they are fab. stack very well. i usually when i've filled them then i put them in a freezer bag and then put it in freezer.

however i'm a huge fan of lock and lock. They are more dearer, but they last and are 100 % water tight. I have got some good deals on ebay. locally i don't have anywhere that sells them for a reasonable price.

i have bought tesco own verison of lock and lock and they are great. Morrisons verison are fine, but don't last as long as tesco or the real deal.

I find on ebay i can get any size lock and lock i need. I've got some which are the flour ones and 1 bag fits perfectly. and i've also got dinky ones which are great for herbs, and also great size for the kids to take home made jelly in for their school lunch.

I buy the plastic Chinese food type from poundland, at £1 for 8. If you want genuine tupperware, ebay is good as someone else said.

I too am a fan of the lock and lock ones, they go through the dishwahser without warping and just seem to last forever!

Morrisons ones are ok for sauces but I found that the tops warped after a while. If you are looking for stuff to go from freezer to table Pyrex do some fantastic glass dishes with plastic tops on them like this:

I batch cook loads and then just put them in the oven.

  • Thanks everyone, I ended up getting some sturdy ones from Wilkos for 46p each and then some cheap flimsy ones from B&M, the kind you get a takeaway in.
