Where is the best place to get tupperware boxes?

I'm looking to get some tupperware type boxes to freeze meals that have been made in advance.
Can anyone point me in the direction of some cheap and cheerful ones please? I've tried Ikea, but they seem to be funny sizes and not easily stackable...
Thank you

    Hi,

I've bought a few from various places. Tesco/Wilkinsons and £ shops seem to be pretty good.

Mine fit inside each other with abit of juggling. I store the lids seperately.

I've bought quite a few multi size packs from Qvc in the past.
But also got a mixed pack from Asda and they've been fine though they don't have the clip fasteners on them.

I've learnt my lesson buying cheaper ones as they don't microwave very well. Better to spend an extra fiver on a good set. :)

  • I got a pack of about 8 of the takeaway type plastic boxes for about £1 from Wilkinsons a while ago. They aren't as sturdy as the proper tupperware type ones, but they fit inside each other and stack in the freezer. I got them for making soup in big batches to take to work for lunch - they are microwave friendly as well. HTH

I get these type from 99p store/£land, they';re great for a few uses and keeping stuff in the freezer/fridge. I use really sturdy ones from wilko for taking food to work.

Home Bargains have a good selection too. I like the takeaway type ones, great for stacking and hold a portion for one :)

I got some genuine Tupperware from ebay when I needed some. (The seller turned out to be in my town too, so I went and collected them to save postage, and it also meant I could use them the same day :))

I find the bought boxes (from pound shops) tend to be less effective than simply re-using takeaway boxes and icecream tubs!

Good excuse to have an occasional treat too!

I use washed out margerine tubs, then if they crack after a few uses and I have to bin them I'm not annoyed, bought loads of different types over the years and it's annoying when they crack, and I'm a bit clumsy I have been known to drop them.
