CrapCleaner deleting saved passwords in Firefox

I have an annoying problem when using the CrapCleaner , prog to remove temporary files. When running the cleaner it removes all of the saved passwords from Firefox, Internet Explorer is ok because there is an option in CrapCleaner to save Internet Explorer files.
Is there any way to stop CrapCleaner deleting Firefox passwords?

can you try using ccleaner instead?

If you click the applications tab, have you got the options there?

In firefox Tools->Options->Security, remember passwords for sites.

I use ccleaner and it leaves the passwords if I have the above set.

I have that option enabled. The password is retained in firefox although it has to be re-entered. This problem has only occurred since I changed my computer, so I am guessing that there is a change in the ccleaner program, my old system always retained the firefox passwords?
Internet Explorer works fine and does retain the passwords after running the cleaner.

When you visit a new site (i.e. Firefox has not history of it in passwords) and enter a user/password, it prompts whether you want to save the password. If you choose not to save it at this point, you end up re-entering password on each visit to that site.

Easiest way to cure this is to clear all passwords through the Options, clear all cache and start over and remember to tell Firefox to remember passwords when it prompts you.

Assuming you have, say half a dozen sites passworded : -

Options / cookies / cookies to keep / that'll do it

In CCleaner, go to the Applications tab, and under Firefox, untick "Saved Form Information." Now it won't delete your passwords

The latest version of CCleaner now includes an update that scans cookies and works out what to keep instead of just carte blanche deletion.
