Security concerns with 18185

Good morning all, hope you've had a good Christmas & New year celebrations.
Recently i've been having concerns with the security of the 18185 phone service. I noticed that when they send out the email to advise of an invoice being generated for payment, the details on the email are more than enough for someone to access the account, change or add numbers, check out payment details & address. Not only was my full account number showing on the email but also the registered phone numbers as well, enough for anyone intercepting or reading the mail to gain access to my 18185 account. I also have concerns that if anything untowards was to happen, their customer services are extremely difficult to get hold of, by email correspondence only & responses are normally auto generated.
Now maybe some will think i'm going over the top a little but i was always told never put anything in an email that you wouldn't put onto a postcard.
I've decided to close my 18185 account today until someone can either convince me its safe to use or they improve their security.
Any thoughts on these people?
Take care guys

Unfortunately that is called progress.
Where they used to send a paper invoice they now send an electronic one with the same information.0 -
I share the OP's concerns, I would not accept that lax security.0

The only way to make a call is FROM your line (the line number being registered on their system). So, the Invoice details are of little consequence, as to make a call that can be charged to your account, it must be made from one of the lines you have registered with them.0

I understand that Buzby, unless i'm missing something, the point i was trying to make was when i receive an email from them to advise of invoice cost & when payment is going to be taken, on the email is the registered telephone numbers & my account number. Now if someone else was to intercept or read the email, that would be all the info they need to access my account, register numbers to my account & run up a huge bill which i would have to pay.0

Why? Does the email give your account password as well? I assume the accounts have passwords0

No password for account access, all that is needed is one of the registered telephone numbers & the account number, both of which are on the email.
Would you find this very lax security? I do unless people think i'm overreacting.0 -
In that case I don't think it's only the email that shows lax security but the whole concept!0
