thanks, but it's constant. Running same sites side-by-side in IE and it's constant. Plusnet also do a good exchange checker which I often refer to

GJ, try comparing your IE and Opera speed with the Numion Surfspeed test here (just click the link and the test starts immediately)

Attention all lovers:rotfl::o of brilliant Opera 11 + NoAds extension

If you update to version 11.10 then NoAds+ Element Blocker extension will no longer work. So, either do not update or, if u have updated (as I did ), you can roll back to previous version (11.01 )// see link below :

    http://www.opera.com/browser/download/?os=windows&list=all

Do note that rolling back means that browser stored usernames and passwords are lost -- u will have to manually insert on initial login and then 'Save'/ Apart from that, everything else is fine and the v. useful NoAds extension is now working //.

I have rolled back Opera several times in the past and never had to re-insert my usernames and passwords.

Another vote for Opera here, out of the pre-Chrome browsers, they just seem to be the quickest at fixing bugs when Microsoft takes a month unless it's an emergency and Firefox, they just dump old builds for new ones, as in 7.0.1 straight to 8.0, which doesn't tell you whether every single problem with the old one is fixed in the new one, especially now we've had three versions that look the same. Constant change like that means FF's best for non-secure browsing now.

Opera is good but so is Slim Browser.

Give it a try for yourself and see.
