Opera 11 -- liking what I see //

Many of you will know how i much i love Firefox ;) Yesterday, on my new and latest netbook I installed Opera 11 and am very impressed. It's super fast, now comes with extensions akin to FF and excellent tab managment facilities. I do still love FF but I've always found it suffers from incremental memory management issues -- easily resolved i find by clearing and exiting FF (and using ccleaner) but a slight pain nonetheless.

Anyhow, thus far, very impressed with Opera 11 -- give it a go folks, some of you might like ;)

Another big Opera fan here. Been using it since back in the days when it used to have banner ads in the browser to fund the free version.

I started using it when FF turned into a major memory Hog.

Super fast browsing without the Google Chrome police farming your private data, perfect! :D

that's my main slight issue with FF too (see above post); I tried Opera three yrs ago and was not overly impressed ; this version changes that nicely ;) Awesome!

  • Like Ducati, I go back a long way with Opera, but it was the one piece of software I voluntarily paid for!

I switched to Firefox about 2 or 3 years back when I started encountering a lot of incompatibilities with Opera - many "big" sites (Dixons, Comet, a lot of the holiday sites) just wouldn't render correctly and it upset my bank's card validation page.

If these have been resolved, I might give it another try.
I'm dreaming of a white Christmas.
But, if the white runs out, I'll drink the red.

    I suspect they will be with Opera 11 // give it it a try -- it's awesome/ ;)

  • I've been using opera for a long time now, and it's been interesting to the watch the development of other browsers because of some of the innovations written into Opera. Opera had working tabs before FF, has had tab grouping for years and has consistent security. I like one of the previous posters went off Opera when they made it incompatible with EVERYTHING but now it's probably one of the fastest and most organic browsers to use. This of course is my opinion, but i'm sticking to it!
