Duvet?

I am looking to buy a duvet. I have a single bed, but considering a double duvet, any ideas?

I have stayed in premier inn, thistle, holiday inn all of which ive always had an immense sleep. So I need a duvet on par with these. Any suggestions on duvets and where to buy?

Thanks in advance

Double duvet is a good idea. I always had a double on a single bed.

I sleep in a single bed and use a double duvet.
I replaced my old one with this:

I have a double bed and a double duvet- you people who have a single bed and a double duvet- does this not mean bedding sets are out of the question? (either that or you buy two)

Reason I ask is that I also need a new duvet, having a double bed, a kingsized duvet would be excellent but I just can't afford to replace all the duvet covers or never be able to get any duvet sets again.

I'm not sure what you mean by buy two?
The only "sets" I get are the duvet cover and 2 pillowcases which is good since I use two pillows. Obviously I buy the mattress sheet separate).
I didn't really set out to have a double duvet, I just inherited one and carried on with using a double.

The two thing comes from me getting value packs where the duvet cover, sheet and pillow cases all come in one packet. Do they not sell these anymore? *shamefully admits* I last shopped for bed sheet/covers 8 years ago!

Tesco direct has silent night duvets on offer - just ordered last week to replace all family duvets - 1 king (for my double bed) and 3 singles for the kiddiewinkles!

Did you not think to ask what Brand and filling their Duvets were?
There are so many out there you could get lost in the Duvet world.
You need to know what filling you require, what TOG you need and who makes the Duvets that these company's use, then off you go shopping with no problems of overload information.
Good Luck- I prefer Duck Down filling.

I think they still sell them. You shouldn't feel ashamed about saving money! If the item is still fit for purpose, then all is fair.

My last couple of duvets I bought were the 2 for 3 type. You get a winter tog and a summer tog which can be clipped together to make one suitable for the arctic temperatures we've had these last few winters. Heaven!
