Child places up to the age of 16?

Does anyone know if any of the holiday companies include children up to 16 or are they all 12? We've not been away since dd was 11, she's now 15 and I'm really grudging having to pay another adult price!!
TIA.

I dont know if any of the companies that do package hols have child places for children up to 16 but we used to take our 3 children on French caravan holidays when they were younger which worked out quite economical for 5 of us. See here:-

Sometimes it works out cheaper paying the adult price for children, as sometimes children on child fares don't count towards occupancy charges.

I went on a self catering holiday when I was a single parent. It was cheaper paying for three adults to share the apartment as there were no under occupancy charges. If I'd booked as an adult and two children, I would have got a cheaper child fares, but the children don't count towards occupancy, so I would have had a hefty under occupancy fee to pay for one adult the apartment, which worked out more expensive.
Here I go again on my own....
  • I think most companies think of children as age 2 - 12 in hotels and 2 - 16 in apartments. If you want a hotel you will have to pay adult price for her but is you are happy to go self catering she can go as a child, and this could even be a free child place if there is one still available.

We do that - Siblu include all children under 16 and they don't pay! Same for Eurocamp, Keycamp etc.
