Paris hotel reccomendation

Hi Guys,

Firstly thanks for taking the time out to read this thread. Im thinking of taking my other half to Paris for his 24th Birthday and Im a bit unsure where to stay. I have not been to Paris (central Paris) since I was about 11 so really dont know the nice areas and nice hotels.

Im looking to spend around £300/350 on the hotel which is 3 nights in March. I would love for it to be a 4* hotel if possible and fairly central.

We will be going by Eurostar. Unless anyone else has any recommendations as to where to could go (Brussells, Ghent etc) by Eurostar.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks.

    When are your dates?

We booked the Holiday Inn Notre Dame and were really pleased with it. The rooms aren't massive, but it is very central, easy to get to from the metro and had a wonderful view ( if you book the right room)

We paid about £300 for 4 nights in August/September.

Suggest you look at the reviews for Hotel du Cadran on Tripadvisor. It's within walking distance of the Eiffel Tower and 5 minutes walk from a Metro stop, but in a quiet location.
Although the rooms are small, they have everything you need for a short stay and the staff are extremely helpful - and speak good English.

Don't bother going to Brussels, it's dull. Stick to Paris and the environs.
  • Thanks for your advice.

I have been looking at eurostar plus hotel as it does seem to work out a fair bit cheaper, but was just wondering if anyone had stayed in a particularly nice hotel/area. So thanks for the adivce, its definatly the way to go I think.

The holiday inn is £350 for 3 nights so not too bad and it gets good ratings. I want to go 13th March to 16th March.

Hotel du Cadran is so expensive works out about £550 for 3 nights just wish it was cheaper as looks gorgeous.

If anyone has any other suggestions I would be really grateful.

    Many thanks

We have stayed at BEST WESTERN PREMIER Pergolese a couple of times. Very clean and friendly and may come within your budget.

    Very close to Champs Elysees.

    Hi Caroline-John,
My son just stayed in the Holiday Inn Notre Dame for New Years Eve and booked it through the friends and family link here . They had a room with Eiffel Tower view/ balcony, and loved it, compact rooms, central location as Lady S said.

Timotels or Accord have lots of hotel in Paris so might be worth checking them out to see what deals they are doing

The Castille Hotel on Rue de Cambon is quite beautiful. Not sure of the prices, I didn't pay!

Edit: Scrub that - it is around £300 per night!
    Gone ... or have I?
