Hi,
My name is Garry and I work for a Shade Greener.
Same post on 8 threads in 8 minutes. I wonder what the MSE approved 'A Shade Greener' representative thinks?
I suspect Garry won't be with us for long?
Mart.Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

Hi,
My name is Garry and I work for a Shade Greener. My role isto source suitable properties for free solar. If you are looking for free solarPV then please contact me .....
Congratulations, as I write this you have posted exactly the same text 8 times on different threads ....
I suppose that the senior management at ASG have given permission to one of their employees to spam on their behalf ? .... perhaps the day will come that those who use boards such as this will return the favour .... just think, thousands of sales leads for Garry at ASG from which not one successful appointment is achieved .....
Take care when spamming, you might just well get what you ask for & have the compliment returned ....
I'd simply suggest that an apology to forum members is forthcoming, the spam is taken down & you have a word with your line manager in the morning ....

May as well assume the panels are at a minimum 250w each, so the 6 would total a 1.5kW system. (However, with only space for 6, the landlord may have opted for higher-rated ones - I believe 327W panels are available).
May be worth simply asking the landlord what he had installed.
Once you get a cable hooked up to the inverter (for a start, anyway...), you may be able to pull out peak generation statistics, which would give a reasonable idea as to the actual system size.

These are from the generation meter. Haven't made a cable yet because I have been enjoying the sun!0 -
If your generation meter flashes you can simply count the (red) flashes in say a minute and multiply by 60.0

if your inverter is a sma then download the sunny explorer from the sma website {sma -uk.com / en_UK /products/software/sunny-explorer. html }
and install on a pc user access is 0000 then watch the generation
another tool worth looking at is {sun. calc. net}0 -

'0000'? .... that's unless you've taken the correct security measures and changed the default user & admin passwords on the inverter ... not doing this would simply allow anyone with the software and a Bluetooth enabled laptop to really screw-up your inverter's settings ...

There is a bit more to establishing a new Bluetooth link to an SMA inverter than Z suggests.NE Derbyshire.4kWp S Facing 17.5deg slope (dormer roof).24kWh of Pylontech batteries with Lux controller BEV : Hyundai Ioniq50 -
There is a bit more to establishing a new Bluetooth link to an SMA inverter than Z suggests.
If you have a Bluetooth compatible SMA inverter and the Bluetooth has been enabled in order to create a network of inverters & monitors (such as the SunnyBeam) then the network is also enabled for access by Sunny Explorer software.
Yes, SMA use a proprietary communications protocol which is aimed at providing a little more security than having an open Bluetooth link, but this is aimed more at locking the user into SMA products than anything else. It's pretty easy to monitor the actual data stream between the proprietary software and the inverter, deduce what's happening and replicate any of the data calls using readily available 'sniffing' software.
I agree that a number of the 'major' settings are manufacturer locked an need specific access, however, someone with the SunnyExplorer software and a degree of 'ill intent' would still be able to create the owner some pretty specific headaches just by using the default 'installer' password (1111) on an open system.
Security is security, it's there for a reason ... if anyone decides that it's not a problem, either on their inverter, answerphone, credit card, or bank account password, then it's their own choice .... I'd simply change any default password and be on the safe side ....
