Mine shows accuracy to exactly no decimal places, damn. Wonder if it's adjustable - shall do some googling!

My generation meter also shows whole units only, 0 decimal places :(
2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shading
Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the end

Well the installers told me that the red flashing light registers small amounts of generation and these were all counted, it's just the display doesn't show them and only increases by whole kWh - have never been sure how true that actually is :o

    Scientifically proven something!

Snowing quite a bit here (Cardiff) now. Noticed that still generating 36watts.

    Phase 1 (P1) generating 30w, P2 6w

So nipped outside and cleaned the snow off P2 as it's only on a low roof. Then P2 'jumped' to 25watts.

Both are still covered in a growing thin film of snow, and the sky is thick white.

So what did I prove? Not rhetorical, I really have no idea what this tells me. Fun playing in the snow though.

Not cleaning P1 until the park nearby is empty, as I have to lean out of a velux, with an extendy pole. Don't want to appear on YouTube. :o

Unless I'm missing something (it's been a long week with little sleep :o) isn't what you've proved just that cleaning the snow off your panels increased their generation?
Isn't that what you thought would happen?
Have I missed something obvious? :o

Jackie - you've missed the science part.

Up till now increased generation was only a theory. By removing the snow and monitoring performance, I have scientifically proven .......

Oh what the hell, you got me, I just wanted to play in the snow :D

  • Only a brief glimpse of the sun this morning before the snow & sleet hit cider country, generation was a measly 1.395kWh today. Yesterday though was an almost identical output to Thursdays, 14.732kWh vs 14.738kWh.

Total generation so far this month is 41.9kWh (26% of PVGIS Feb target in 4 days) and the past week has been 51.4kWh.

Forecast next week doesn't look great though, so there will probably be less gloating going on in this thread.

Snow's already melted though so don't need to do anything worthy of YouTube :D

Another fairly good day in the south east, sunny till early afternoon and I'm now over 36% of PVGIS for Feb in 4 days! However, I think I will be getting the broom out tomorrow ...
2kWp Solar PV - 10*200W Kioto, SMA Sunny Boy 2000HF, SSE facing, some shading in winter, 37° pitch, installed Jun-2011, inverter replaced Sep-2017 AND Feb-2022.
