Blankets, bibs, scratch mittens, hats, baby grows, muslins, room thermometer, hair brush/comb set, teddy, pushchair toy, sudocrem, breast pads, cotton wool, Underarm thermometer, rattle, infacol, name plaque.....think that is all I can remember at the moment!

For a friend's baby I found that pound shops were great for things like vests, bibs, rattles, teething toys, toiletries etc.

I also made up a 'baby tool box' for Dad - included jokey things like tongs (for really stinky nappies), nose peg, gloves etc, as well as useful stuff like vaseline, thermometer, nappy disposal bags, sudocreme, distractor toys like rattles, plastic keys etc (to distract baby while you change nappy), travel sized wipes, fathering book etc etc. Was all packed in a tiny tool box that cost a couple of quid - can sometimes find similar ones in poundshops.
    Trust me - I'm NOT a doctor!
