it doesn't realy seem to matter that a regular poster who subscribes/buys/ post the reg comps every month/week or whatever & takes the time to type out all the details/t&c's every time it's not realy necessary ?
so anyone can post them without putting all the details on ?
just the answers & randomly post them ? not realy bother with following each issue through ?
i do recall certain ops who've thanked the op for this posting complaining on other magazine postings about holiday/prizes not being typed out specifically but looks to me it doesn't realy seem to matter any more if someone does these on a regular basis now,
in the search if anyone types Take a Break all the reg posters/postings come up with showing there's a regular poster,
yes, MSE Andrea did say anyone can post comps but it was also added..

Please respect these existing posters as it is their money they are handing over to buy the mags & give us the answers. If you are interested in helping out or posting a particular magazine then either post in that mags thread or if you can't find the actual thread then post in the Comps Discussion thread to ask about it & another comper will be along to help point you in the right direction.
At the end of the day, no comper 'owns the right' to post a particular comp but please take a moment, have a look around & ask in the Comps Discussion Thread if necessary to ask if there is a regular poster for a particular comp. Let's keep this a friendly place to play, avoid duplication & misunderstandings

sorry, but that's my tuppence worth & sorry if it has upset anyone but personally i think it's just as upsetting to a regular poster who takes all the time to ensure all the details/etc are typed up along with the answers/etc to think all their efforts to do/check details etc & see each issue through is realy not needed any more,
is it best to let anyone post these weekly/monthly comps from now on ?
Agree with you korky....these mags take a lot of work and it is quite annoying to come on here only to find them already posted, when you normally do them....I just thought I would help with the detailsas moneysaver obviously didn't want to do them or maybe the mag had been thrown away.....

hiya tt, kirsty took over from me doing these about a year ago, i wasn't managing to fit in doing all the puzzles at the time & was very late posting them, so kirsty kindly pm'd me/asked & then agreed to buy/do them on a regular basis for everyone,
tbh i was very tempted to post the details for everyone, but,
if any peeps are just going to post them without the details/randomly post not on a regular basis, then someone else is doing all the typing out/hard work sorting it all out for everyone
when realy it is down to the op to post them along with the answers/details, & as you know it's the longest part to do,
example from a few of them..

if peeps prefer us not to bother typing them all out, then, fair enough, would save me loads of time on the mag postings/threads
not having to do them, expect it would be the same for you & all the mag postersi'm just a bit surprised at some of the peeps thanking when some of them insisted time & time again on all the details being done

i think people should be a little nicer to people trying to help . maybe the poster wasnt aware of these rules ...i wasnt either ,a lot of users of these forums are intimidated and put of posting as older members who know the ins and outs and workings of things are nasty to newer members, its a shame ...we're all just trying to help!!!!!:mad:Massive Thank you to all who post comps & answers on here .i'm very grateful , good luck all.

I've read back and can't see any 'nasty' posts?
This has happened so many times before and it always ends badly. Please leave it here, the poster thought they were helping and let's leave it at that.Luck is believing you’re lucky – Tennessee Williams

The way I have read this thread it isn't the regs who are being nasty or taking umbrage, they have merely asked for the details to be posted as usual and ask that the person posting lets the regular poster know that they don't need to buy the mag/post the answers. That isn't being nasty it is being practical. If at first you don't succeed try, try, try again.

so you don't mind entering for anything then, especially if the t&c's state you need certain ages for the children, dates when/if they have to be taken on a particular date etc ?
there are sometimes certain specifications that need to be taken into account when entering some of them
if you enter then you find the specifications didn't suit/you couldn't take, then you've entered someone else's chance of winningtwinklenicci wrote: »i think people should be a little nicer to people trying to help . maybe the poster wasnt aware of these rules ...i wasnt either ,a lot of users of these forums are intimidated and put of posting as older members who know the ins and outs and workings of things are nasty to newer members, its a shame ...we're all just trying to help!!!!!

we appreciate that, the sticky's on the forum are there to read & help any misunderstandings
excuse me, i wasn't being nasty to the op,
all we asked was that could they please post the details for the holidays/etc posted,
on the majority of comp forums/sites the search usually shows when you put in the title who was the last poster of the comps,
it is usually forum etiquette to know magazines/postals/etc postings usually have reg posters on all forums so a quick search, or ask in the comps disc as MSE Andrea/velvetglove said
would save any misunderstandings.please be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.0 -
Thank you OP, good luck to all of us and Happy New Year! xNew Year's Resolution: To tolerate fools more gladly, provided this does not encourage them to take up more of my time!0
