SOGA SMOGA
If I buy something and it goes wrong in the first month or so, there's no way I will accept it being repaired.
Too many people here are too namby pamby to stick up for themselves. If it's faulty get a refund, then buy it again if you want another one.0 -

Theres nothing wrong with sticking up for yourself, but when your in grey territory or aren't technically entitled to something, being rude, pushy or aggressive is what far too many others do....
All you need to do is be polite.
In this case the OP seemed far too pushy, if it were me on the receiving end, id have politely asked them to not interrupt (and would probably point out their errors in their interpretation).Back by no demand whatsoever.0 -

I wasn't in the store so I can't say if the OP was pushy, but you have to be assertive sometimes.0 -
This happened to me , also with a power washer, the lance had split. The thing was about 3 months old. When I took it back to the store all they were interested in was giving me the address of the spares agent where I could go to obtain a replacement part . I gave the chap a lecture on the my rights as a consumer and their obligations to me under the sale of goods act. In the end they gave me a full refund for the purchase price and I went to buy a Bosch one elsewhere. You scullion! You rampallian! You fustilarian! I’ll tickle your catastrophe (Henry IV part 2)0
