    Hi lvm

I do hope the BB thing comes off for you. People are strange..dont worry about the lodgers coming and going and at this rate look on the bright side, its one less thing to have to concern yourself with should you start your new venture and not have someone moaning at you for the short notice.

Well done on the savings. ;) Have a good weekend yourself. ;)

Thank you! Fingers crossed it all works out.

Have just spent the last 2 hours taking pictures of 30 different items of clothing - front, back, detail, labels - and I'm now exhausted!

I have another black bag full of clothes which I haven't looked in in around a year so have no idea what's in there - hopefully more things to eBay off!

I've got someone coming to see my room tomorrow morning so fingers crossed she's nice and wants to take it!

    Night night! x

I have now carefully photographed and written up descriptions of 35 items ready to put onto eBay tonight. Most of the stuff is BNWT so hopefully get a fair bit of cash - £200 would be excellent.

Someone is letting me know tomorrow if they want my room and I've also got another person seeing it tomorrow. Couple of other people wanting to see as well although they're not in Edinburgh for a while yet - hopefully it'll be taken tomorrow by someone and I'll be happy!

    Right...eBay here I come!

    Hi there lvm

I am sure someone will have the room out of that lot. Brilliant. Its all going to come together.

Good luck with Ebay. I have loads of bits and pieces and have done for a few months but been so busy haven't got around to it yet and missed a good couple of free listing days too. Bah and double Bah :( I will get round to it soon.

Have fun ebaying and hopefully you will sell sell sell ;)

I wish I could get free listing days - for some reason when I opened my account ages ago, I decided to put it through as a business account (there must have been some benefit somewehere!) - but all the free listing days are only for personal users...gutted!

21 items down, 14 to go - might find a couple other pieces to throw in as well!

And the good news has found me again!

Got a call about an hour ago from someone wanting to see the room - he got a taxi straight here and said he wanted to take it straight away. Even let me take him to the cash machine for a month's rent even though he doesn't move in until 1st September. And the even better news is...he is aboslutely gorgeous (he might wonder why I'm staring at him all the time! Lol). Apparently he'll hardly be here at all (he's a chef working split shifts so will leave dead early and not get back til around 11pm at night)...so that's great news too! And it seems more permanent - most of the other people who have been to see the room only want it for a few months.

So, apart from that, update on the eBay stuff - 36 items listed, 25 watchers and 1 bid already so going well.

A great day so far (apart from some random engineer turning up 5 mins ago to tell me there was a suspected gas leak and he needed to check the readings in my flat! Lol)

Ok, I just had to post and boast about my biggest achievement of the day....

....I was on Gino and Mel's Let's Do Lunch!! They ask for photos of the meal they prepare at the start so I sent mine in and I was shown at the end!! Gino even sounded impressed by my efforts...I'm so excited! Lol

In other news - just over 4 days to go on my eBay auctions and I'm up to exactly 100 watchers with 7 items having 12 bids between them. Think I may start packaging up the ones that have bids to make everything a bit easier come Monday morning.

Haven't made any more money for savings or anything which is a bit disappointing. Will have another wee look around for something to sell later on!

So, I have all my eBay auctions ending tonight! I've managed to package 8 of the 24 items which will definitely sell but have now run out of envelopes and brown paper...need to head out to Asda to see if they have any (need to do some shopping for my weekly Shop&Scan anyway!)

Managed to flog an old Filofax to my Mum for £15 (it wasn't mine anyway so that's a bonus!) and I've made around £120 profit doing some bets over the last few days so I'm waiting for the withdrawals to come through this week some time.

I think I may have managed to score a job delivering the phonebook...although I've never done this before and have no idea about the pay (read a forum somewhere that said it was around 8p per book which is pretty pants! Still, I don't even care - it's all pennies to go in the holiday savings fund). Now thinking of changing the "holiday" savings fund though. Turns out my Mum only wants to go to Dubai/Goa - somewhere like that for just a week and there's no way I'd go for less than 2 so may either postpone and save up more dosh for an even bigger holiday or I could use it for something else entirely...who knows! I'm desperate to buy some sort of investment and I'd love to buy a really trashed place, live in it and do it up while renting my place out. So the more money I had for that, the better!

Just my luck I'll have wiped out all my savings after tomorrow's MOT! Still trying to get the Bank of Dad to pay for it but he's having none of it. Tax due now as well - rubbish!

Well...off to Asda to go! I will no doubt have a little update once all my auctions have ended this evening! x

    The results are in!

So...36 items listed, 32 sold. A fair number of BNWT items went for 99p...gutted about those!

Total sale price of £161.28 and I've charged between £3 and £4 for P&P so looking at another £110 on top. Think I've overestimated postage which is good and I didn't have to buy too many envelopes.

All in all, I think I've done quite well. Got about £32 in eBay fees so I'll keep that in my Paypal account and I should really give my Mum the £40 back I owe her for stuff I sold of hers a few weeks back. The rest will be going straight to the savings account.

It really does take more work that you would anticipate - It's 12.45am and I've only just finished sorting everything (and that's only the 17 items which are paid for!)

Might use the last week of my holiday to dig out some more items to list later on.

    Nighty night x

Nice to see the debts coming down. But from the point of the credit file, wouldn't it be smarter to put the savings to the debt, and have then being shown as settled?
