I bought them 2 days ago and can also confirm they are pro points, lovely books AND for anyone (like me) who diets the old-fashioned calorie way I would like to add that the recipes all have calorie values too! Happy dieting!:j0

I saw the poster for these today but didn't get chance to look. How much variety is there in them and is there much difference between the two? (Trying to work out whether to make a special trip and buy one or wait til I'm by Smiths to look!)0

The recipes sound delicious and appear quite easy to make.
There's a good variety and I'd say buy both books as they do have different recipes.Third time lucky on WW I hope :j

I didn't have a lot of time to look at them in store and bought both. Having had a good look through them today I would still be hard pressed to say which one is the better. If you can afford a little splurge, I would say get both. I haven't noticed any repeats.0 -

Thanks for this. Bought both today as intend to return (yet again) to WW later in January (too much food to finish from Xmas first!).
Does this new system mean my points calculator and all the other books are useless if, as I assume, one follows the ProPoints system upon starting back?
Although I bought the books, still feel disappointed if all I have purchased previosuly will be useless and therefore whether to just continue doing the Points system (didnt even try the one that has come inbetween)If only I could stop finding good bargains on this site, I would save a fortune! :rotfl:0 -
Familyfitz:
The new plan looks at Calorie, total fat, protein, carbs and fibre content of food and so the points allocated are totally different.
If you were a "ww" who survived on the ready meals etc then yes it will all change as there is no propoints - points convertor ratio if you like to think of it that way.
Like you I have a load of the recipe books and so what I did (very sad admission coming up!) was to go thru my fave recipes in the old books and point them based on the new plan. Boring and sad yes but it did help me get my head around the values of foods much quicker as I was looking them up and writing each value next to the weight in the recipe book.To infinity and beyond - but mostly to Tesco!:D0 -

Thanks for that ca1980. So while yes it does appear sad:), when you say you adjusted old recipes to the new system, I take it that was with new info provided at the meetings to allow/guide you in doing so? As I said, I havent rejoined as yet but there are certain recipes I really like in the old system so WOULD see the value in time spent doing as you did :T
I only occasionally use the frozen ready meals i.e. if others are having eg pizza etc but otherwise would cook meals from scratch. I have however used snack bars etc quite a bit so I guess that will just be a NO NO on the new system until (?) the packaging is adjusted to the new system. If only I could stop finding good bargains on this site, I would save a fortune! :rotfl:0
