Getting F**fl*p boots on?

Hi all I tried ti buy a pair of M*kl*ks today but couldn't get them on. Duh? Tried a larger size and succeeded but much too big. Is there a technique I am missing? I dearly wanted a pair as I can't wear the sandals as I don't do toeposts. They were £75 in the sale too! Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks

Hi Gintot,
If boots are a little tight you can stretch them but if you can't get them on in the first place it's unlikely that this would really help as they'll only stretch so far and are still likely to be uncomfortable. Ways of stretching shoes/boots in this thread:
Stretching leather shoes?
If they're too big can you wear extra socks to make them fit?
Otherwise I don't really have any ideas, but I'll move your thread across to the Health, Beauty & Fashion MoneySaving shortly to see if someone there knows if there is a technique that may help.

I'd love to help but don't know what it means.
Are we not allowed to write the brand names of things? Is it a brand name thats ** or is it rude?

I wondered that myself Linda. We are allowed to post brand names, but I'm assuming that the op chose not to for some reason. I think the gist of the post is that Gintot has found some boots that he/she likes but is having difficulty getting a size to fit....one is too small and the next size too big. I could be totally wrong though, it wouldn't be the first time.

I think she means FitFlop boots - like those sandals you get that make your bum smaller I guess...but I don't know what M*kl*ks are!:heartpulsSpoiling my two baby girls with love - it's free and it's fun!:heartpuls
I'm not very good at succinct. Why say something in 10 words when 100 will do?

I thought this must be some sort of Festive Puzzle :j But I'm too  to work it out
There's an OS convention to refer to major supermarkets as Messrs M, T, A and S, but nothing to prevent us from using brand names:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -

Which is possibly the silliest idea because the supermarkets know the abbreviations people use!Gone ... or have I?0 -
Is it about being able to straighten out the foot sufficiently to get down to and past the 90 degree bend?0

hi Everyone
Sorry thought you couldn't use brand names on here.
Basically I can't get into the Fitflop short boots, leather or suede. Littlevoice you are probably right-the leg bit is soft and the foot part of the boot is quite solid. I'm a size 4 but could only get a size 5 on and there was at least an inch beyond my big toe.
The assistant in Sole Trader where they were £75 said some people just cannot get these boots on! I did feel blardy silly though.
I just wondered if there was a knack to getting them on?

I have the fitflop short leather boots in a size 4 and initially struggled to get them on. The best way to do it although you may feel a tad silly is to get a carrier bag on your foot so that it's nice and slippy and then try them on. The tags on the back of the boot is really strong so can take a fair bit of pulling. Just try walking around the house with the bags and boots on your foot and the next time you try your boots on it will be easier.
Alternatively, try it with some tights but only 15 denier or so as as any thicker will not have the 'slippy effect'.
If the issue is a high instep this should solve the problem, it did for me.
As as aside, these are pretty much the most comfortable boots I have ever worn; I personally don't buy into the bum shrinking capabilities though.0
