PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING: Hello Forumites! In order to help keep the Forum a useful, safe and friendly place for our users, discussions around non-MoneySaving matters are not permitted per the Forum rules. While we understand that mentioning house prices may sometimes be relevant to a user's specific MoneySaving situation, we ask that you please avoid veering into broad, general debates about the market, the economy and politics, as these can unfortunately lead to abusive or hateful behaviour. Threads that are found to have derailed into wider discussions may be removed. Users who repeatedly disregard this may have their Forum account banned. Please also avoid posting personally identifiable information, including links to your own online property listing which may reveal your address. Thank you for your understanding.

  • Thanks so much for all your advice, I was a bit worried about posting due to a bad experience on another forum last year but you have all offered good advice without judging.

Will be back once the ball is rolling to let you know how things are going, now to re-paint the house and get it looking good for any prospective buyers :) x

    Get OH a moped :D
Inside this body lays one of a skinny woman
but I can usually shut her up with chocolate!

When I thank a post in a thread I've not posted in,
it means that I agree with that post and have nothing further to add.
  • The seven seater is a huge drain on your resources and is not a need but a want. This would be the first to go if it was me. Your children will benefit from using their legs.

People with large families years ago did not have the above type of transport yet they managed.

This is a fact not a judgemental statement.

Hope you manage to sort this out without your husband loosing his livelihood.
