I had done the same with some rice thought it was a gonner but took about an hour today with some astonish and a microfiber cloth and have got all of what I had thought was the cast iron and have got it back to the enamel. It's worth a try on a small area to see if it will work. It's worth the £1 punt....Feb GC: £200 Spent: £190.790

Not Le Creuset, so possibly not what your looking for,but on Friday in Morrisons,I got Gino D'Campo, cast iron/enammel casserole dish(oval shape)reduced from £40 to £12.50,and cast iron/enamal grill pan reduced from £20 to £ 6.50(these have been reduced further to £4.98,cos i bought a 2nd one too)..they look fantastic..Then in the Denby store i got a little cast iron/enammel ommelette pan special offer of £10...I dont know if Denby is as good as Le Creuset but their casserole dishes were 1/2 price at £35. http://www.denby.co.uk/NEW-Cookshop/Cast-Iron-Cookware/icat/castiron ...or try this site for Sale Le Creuset ,they have a 22cm shallow lidded casserole for £69,and theres often a discount code on the vouchers forum. http://www.ecookshop.co.uk/ecookshop/productlist.asp?designid=creusetcas&m=5Slimming World..Wk1,..STS,..Wk2,..-2LB,..Wk3,..-3.5lb,..Wk4,..-2.5,..Wk5,..-1/2lb,Wk6,..STS,..Wk7,..-1lb.

I have a cast iron casserole with no enamel, a dutch oven and they have to be seasoned so I think that if you season with a little oil on a regular basis, then you will get your dish back0
