  • Sorry to bump but, did everybody receive their vouchers? Our newspaper is delivered and there was NO 'fabulous' magazine or vouchers.
    Life's what you make it....

"I've got one, two, three, [STRIKE]four[/STRIKE], [STRIKE]five[/STRIKE]... senses working overtime..", XTC.

Life beyond voluntary work scares me, but what else is there?
  • ASDA denied all knowledge of having to hand them out on Wednesday when I was there.

The woman on checkout (who knew nothing about it being available through ASDA as well) called up the supervisor, who said they were all locked up in the storeroom cage as they weren't anything to do with ASDA. The person in the other end of the phone informed her (loud enough for me to hear - good hearing) that I should have bought the News of the World on Sunday like everyone else, rather than try and get it for free.

Which annoyed me, so I stated very clearly that the change4life website said that this particular branch was distributing them on that day and did I need to ask for the store manager to query this.

She stomped down to the till with one booklet and practically threw it at the checkout woman for daring to ask.

Open it on the way home, to find most of it is useless - I had not bought the particular products they offered vouchers for as they were easily more than 50p to a pound dearer than identical items not eligible. But the £5 trainer voucher might come in handy if they haven't put their prices up as well.
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.
