Just done a Welshy and used all my blue and brown coupons. I bought £62 of clothes a mixture of womens and childrens and used all my blue vouchers and all the brown instore ones. (thanks again Zippy) and a cranium (came up at full price but it's going back £25) and excluding vouchers I paid £40 and a little bit.

The blue vouchers did not stipulate, mens, womens etc and all went through so for £62 of clothes I've paid approx £15. Thanks again to those who originally posted.

I've got an xmas outfit for me, a jumper (me again) and a couple of xmas outfits for the kids.

Thanks to zippy I've got a set of brown vouchers left and DH's blue ones came today (they stipulate mens, womens etc.) so I hope to try again tomorrow.

    Fingers crossed!
  • Ha Ha Ha that made me laugh "just done a Welshy" LOL - fame at last !!!!

As the brown vouchers expire tomorrow took my Mum shopping at Mr T's and used all my blue vouchers together, £4 off, £6 off and £10 off together with the brown ones using the £7, £4 and £10 total came to £55 had £41 off my shopping making the total to pay only £14 then .............

I used 3 of the book vouchers from yesterday's Mail which scanned at £4 each making it £2.00 to pay !!!

I did buy other items too - newspapers to get some more freebies LOL

Today, I bought some kids clothing and menswear - some nice Christmas presents for the children and Mr Welshy.

    Happy Days - Welshy x

this has reminded me they expire tomorrow, i'm after a cashmere sweater for xmas for myself. i bought a grey one the other day, tried it on and it was lovely, went with my eyes lol! but it was very unforgiving and showed all my spare tyres  i returned it (getting back the £35-ish i had paid for my whole £55 spend lol! i don't have any blue vouchers for combining, but at least i got back my £35 so the kids stuff was free!) and the lady on customer services suggested that perhaps the black one might be more flattering :rotfl:

I went to a different Mr T's today and got a womens and childrens stuff to the value of £55 , they took all the blue and brown ones and I nearly fell over so I got £47 off.

The I got carried away. I saw another brown leaflet, on the floor outside and decided to have another go.

I got my calculations completely wrong so till wouldn't accept it. Had to go to cs!

CS women said if you spend another £8 on adults and £2 on children I'l use the £7 & £4 voucher but not the £10. Anyway did that and she put it through as a seperate transaction on it's own and overrode the till, so my original incorrect purchases are going back and I'll still have a couple of things for free.

Thanks all for all your help.

    Hello Everyone ....

If at first you don't succeed ... Return on a Saturday!

Went to Tesco on Saturday ... not my usual as I hate the crowds ... but surprise ... there were Welshy's Saturday boys ...

I didn't have the full quota of Blue/Brown Coupons left so I could not quite do a Welshy ... but I still got ...

    Cashmere Jumper £35 ... Boys Jumper £5 ... & Boys Coat £20 ... Total £60

    Used ... £6, £4, £10, £7, & £4 off's ... plus a handful of small ones ... Total Off nearly £33 ...

When I got home tried coat on eldest boy ... It was one of those blue 3 in 1's ... too big ... he looked like OddBod from Carry on Screaming! ... so took it back on Sunday .... Final result £13 for a Cashmere Jumper & a Cardi ... Hoorah!

Also ... OH had been very taken with my Cashmere Jersey ... and even though he got a Lambswool Jumper last week in my first try at this offer ... His Birthday is this week ... so ....

Got Mens Cashmere £40 & two pairs of Boys jeans £10 & £11 .... too different sizes as my son is like racing snake! ... Total £61 but anticipated taking back one pair of jeans ...

Used £10, £6, £7 & £4 Off ... plus some others ... Total off £31 ... Which I was very happy with ... however now i will need to return both pairs of jeans as they are ok in the leg ... but both too big on the waist ... So end result will be a Tenner!

All Couponed out ... but happy ... :^)

Thanks again for all the advice .... 'Doing a Welshy' may go down in the annals of MSE!

  • Well done LittleBill - maybe we should give out badges saying "I've done a Welshy" I love my bargains and it's lovely to share them with like minded moneysavers.

I have a spring in my step today my building work has commenced:

Five years of planning and now it's becoming a reality !!! I am sooooo looking forward to all that extra storage room when the extension is done.

Hope all goes well ... as with all building work it never goes exactly to plan ... but hope any glitches are minimal!

I think an El Tesco 'carrier bag' stylee T shirt with "I've done a Welshy" instead of the 'Every little Helps' would be appropriate! :rotfl: ... and like footall shirts ... you should get a star for everytime you've done it!
