hi everyone and happy new year :j
i like to keep a good stock of things like pasta, rice, tins, lentils, flour etc i stock up when there on offer, so i always have extra for when i run out of everyday cooking essentials, i genually keep them in a spare kitchen cupboard, which gets a bit squished at times, and am thinking of possibily shelving cupboard understairs out and using that instead? especially after watching NIGELLA this afternoon her storecupboard is like a corner shop :rotfl:(totally jealious)
what or where is your store cupboard??

Our dinky caravan. Anything I can't fit in the kitchen is offloaded to the caravan cupboards, and when we take it away it gets chucked in eldest's (uni student, only here occasionally) room.DTD...Dreading The Detox.0

The small box bedroom
I do like your under the stairs idea, maybe I'll clear it out and start using it. We've got coats, the hoover (actually the hoover's in hall right now)
cooler bags, my holdall for if I have to stay overnight (work) - shoes shoes and more shoes.
Right I think it's time to sort my life out!
I will have to buy a new wardrobe to store all the coats/shoes upstairs.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.

the drawers under the bed, the bathroom we don't use for loo rolls, on top of the fridge, under the kitchen table, the garage for beer & pet food.
Also I have a really old scruffy kitchen, so we removed the kick boards that are at skirting board level and replaced them with drawer fronts held on with magnetic closers. So I have loads of space to store baked beans etc on Ikea plastic trays undeneath the main cupboards.
Also have a hall cupboard stuffed with cleaning spray, bleach etc piled up on a pine bookcase I put inside it. I've started writing out labels of what is in each of my heaps because stuff is going to get lost without a map :rotfl:0 -

yes i would need to sort under the stairs aswell its one of those cupboards that everything gets chucked in! which can be quite embarrassing when the elec man comes to read the metre and everything falls out  its not to bad at mo as i stored xmas pressies there so now they have gone (and ive sorted all the empty boxes and wrap that got chucked under there which took 4mths to sort last year ) so i have just 1 box there now with stuff ive bought in sales for next xmas  which i need to rehome then i can start planning it, not sure how to do it to make the most of the space as it goes back under the stairs, might put in deep shelves that i can put the shallow toy boxes on that can just be pulled in and out .One day I will live in a cabin in the woods0 -
I keep stuff in the old coal house. All the preserves I make, and also eggs and potatoes. Unfortunately the very cold weather has given the potatoes frost bite so I need to replace them. I also keep and household cleaning items there which I buy when on offer0

i had thought about that aswell, my coal shed is just outside my back door, it would have to be de-spidered, painted ,shelved etc but could be an ideaOne day I will live in a cabin in the woods0

I've started to store cat food , tins, cleaning products out in the garage but with this below freezing spate of cold weather I did wonder whether it would damage things like beans and soup to be frozen in the tin? anyone know?#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j

I've got a brick built shed just outside the back door, store loads of tins, bottles and veg in there(use an old kitchen cupboard unit and another unit my DH made. Also have a spare fridge and freezer in there.0
