They may change into and out of their clothes when their parents don't see.

I clearly remember my brother doing this. Our school had a strict uniform policy and he used to take a jumper in his bag and change on the way. :D It was just an ordinary boring jumper though.

I realise it's probably best to never say never as you just don't know what's in front of you, but I genuinely don't think my daughter would get away with this, unless perhaps it was someone else's clothing she was changing into during something like a sleepover perhaps and I had no way of knowing.

Some days I wonder was I born a few decades too late as I don't approve of how girls present themselves these days. Bring back the 20s I say :rotfl:

I was curious on how a PTA works, if teachers got a vote :P

Do a lot of the kids dress up at these proms?

Most do dress up, its not a big deal the theme is just something to make it different rather than a disco every term.

The genius of our Parent Teacher Association is the teachers dont actually turn up to any meeting, we make the money and they spend it ! Each disco generates around £400 - £500 in profit so they wouldnt want to see them cancelled !

I guess being born in 1988 makes me too old aswell :P

Good to see someone even younger than me (not that I think I'm young but you know what I mean) having the same opinion. I'm a late 70s girl and never really got the whole get drunk til you can't stand, sleep with some random bloke whose name you don't know then go out and do the same thing a few days later. What's fun about losing your memory, morals and self-respect?

My mum is no prude but she taught me that the kind of girl who sleeps with a guy early on isn't the kind of girl a guy will marry. She also taught me that the person I'm about to have sex with could well be the father of my child and would I be happy with that prospect? Maybe that explains why I only started having kids in my 30s and a few sips of shandy gets me tipsy (well I am preggers but still, I couldn't finish a bottle of vino by myself without passing out). My DH loves to comment how I'm a cheap date :rotfl:

I remember mum telling me how back in the 70s it was frowned upon to have too many boys calling at your house for you in case the neighbours saw. I'm not sure if it is anyone elses business what people get up to behind closed doors but I for one am proud that I am married and waited until after the big day before we started trying for our first child. I even held off until a couple of weeks before the wedding before moving my stuff into the marital home. I know ..... old fashioned!!
