Can Print web Pages But Not A Document?

My HP printer is driving me crazy!

Im on Windows 7 64bit.

I can print a web page but not a letter I have written in microsft Works.

When I print a 'test page' I just get the Windows logo and no writing?

Any ideas?!

Don't know HP but my Epson requires that I select type of document ie. text, text+image, photo etc. before printing.

Just tried to print my CV, it only printed my email address which was in BLUE, I changed all the txt to blue and it all printed. Something wrong with the black toner cartridge?...well no, its half full and will print a web page in black...weird!

When I print a test page the black is visible if I set the printer to review before printing.

OK I think it boils down to a duff cheap ebay replacement cartridge, will look for an alternative. Thanks for your suggestions.
