As the title says
Basically she has set up a user account on her laptop so when she turns it on you just get her name to access it which requires a password. Now she has forgotten this one and cant get access to it. When she types the incorrect one in, it says Have you forgotten password, type correct one. It does not give you the option to click here if you just cant remember it and get a new one.
At the bottom of the screen it says after she logs onto user account she can add or change things but how do we get to this bit if she cant remember the password she has put in?
The laptop is a Dell latitude D410 if that helps?

windows passwords are a waste of time......takes me 5 mins to bypass , even on win 7
downside of passwords, data is not readable if you trash windows
use truecrypt to protect dataEx forum ambassador

Data is readable after you trash windows as long as the data is on a seperate drive/partition unless you have encrypted with a local account and have no recovery method for the encrypted data.--
