hi i am new:(
QUESTION
If I have a direct debit with a big credit card company to pay my mobile phone bills , later on in the year decided to pay bills by cash instead . And ask the big credit card card company to stop paying the mobile company and told the mobile company too .
However can big credit card company still keeps paying the direct debit even if I asked them to stop the direct debit , and the mobile company still asks for the money they have been taking money out for months .
also the phone company still has my credit card details ? should I change credit card company? have been with then for years.

Right you need to be clear.
Direct debits are a payment claimed by a retailer from you bank account (not a credit card).
If you use a credit card to pay regular payments then it's called a continuous card authority (CCA).
Please explain which you have.
It's important for us to know the difference as your rights are very different.0 -
simplest way would be to close the credit card down. You can always apply for another form somewhere else.0

Your problem is with the mobile firm. Even if you close the card a continuous payment authority will not stop. So you need to sort out the mobile firm.0
