Hi Zeddy, I'm enjoying your diary. Just joined the forum, although I've been a lurker on and off for a couple of years. Good luck with everything!

    Thanks Sepa.

Had a good day today, made £6 on the sale of a sterilier, which I sold on a baby forum. Am putting that £6 straight to the mortgage pot.

Also have 4 things ending on ebay tonight, all with bids on, also have a few more items to list. Am not counting any ebay money until it arrives in the bank account so that I don't count it twice.

We went out for a meal to Prezzo at lunch time and used our MrT vouchers, so only spent £11 for that which comes out of our leisure budget.

Ebay for the week has finished for me now and we've made £95.18 in total - plus we'll have less to pack when we move. :j

Had a couple more ebay sells - I put some items on a buy it now for the first time and three out of the four have gone already.

Extra £10 in the mortgage pot as the savings account received £10 from a survey site.

Am going to spend this evening wrapping all my ebay sales as MrZ can pop to the postoffice tomorrow pm as he's on a half day.

We were hoping to exchange today but a problem arose yesterday, our sellers solicitor wasn't around yesterday to sort it so this has had to be done today, so fingers crossed we'll exchange tomorrow and still be able to work to 20th to complete - must do more packing as well tonight.

Buying a house is the most crazy thing in this country, isn't it! I can't believe how long and fraught the whole process is. I'm sure it's not like this in Australia, where I come from! I hope you exchange tomorrow - good luck!

Thanks Sepa, it does seem drawn out, I'm sure there must be a reason why it's like it - but I don't know!

Woohoo, we have exchanged on both houses today.:j

I now just need to move pretty much all our savings over to pay for it, it always seems to cost that little bit more than you think.:( Although I know it will be worth it, but then the real hard work starts - a mortgage of £208800, ouch!

Over the past couple of days we've had £138.20 transferred from paypal for our sales on ebay, so am pleased with that.

I have also transferred our savings over to the solicitor, so these have pretty much all but diminished, which is sad, although I know it's to buy our new house that we've been saving for, but it had been nice having such a large savings. I shall update my signature as we're now dead set on rebuilding our savings and paying off the mortgage where we can.

It's a miserable day here today, but I need to pop out down the road to pick up a few bits of food shopping, am very pleased with how our grocery challenge is goine, although it's helped by trying to use up everything in our cupboard before the move next week.

Smlsave - moving date is Thursday but I've still so much to do.

Wildfrog - I'm glad it's not just me who can't be trusted near a stash of chocolate!

Had a good day today, MrZ has been on call and has worked 8.30 to 14.30 and has had to head back into work at 18.45 so it looks like he'll have made us a nice bit of extra cash.

MissZ and I stayed in this morning as we had to have the windscreen of one of our cars replaced to day as it had cracked - that was £70, though much better to do it now, I know!

We went into town and had lunch in starbucks using MrZ's gift card and then bought my sister a bag from accesorize using my Christmas gift card. We then went to a soft play and met MrZ and a couple of friends and their little ones. MissZ has just started walking properly this week and she's really going for it now, so loved soft play. Spent £3.95 to get in and the £4 on drinks and a snack.

Then wizzed off to do a mystery shop, which will be £7 paid to me, have already submitted my report for that. Also have three items on ebay finishing this pm, which should bring me in about £10. It's funny, one of them was listed for £4.99 last week, it had no bids, this week it's up to £7 - it's funny how it works.
