I am shortly going to Australia for several months and now have two credit cards to use abroad.
1. Halifax Clarity
2. Saga Platinum
Both have advantages to withdraw cash at ATMS abroad but I dont understand the interest rate charged.
According to info on this site 1. charges annual interest rate for cash withdrawals abroad is 12.9%
2, No annual charge but charges 2% or £2 for every cash withdrawal abroad whichever is the greater.
Which is the cheapest card to use if I settle the account as soon as possible by bank transfer.
I intend to make several withdrawals every week max allowed £250 each time.
Can anyone advise please ?

As far as I know, the halifax is the overall winner!0

OK let's assume you clear the debt the very next day, in simple terms...
The daily rates are as follows:
Halifax - 12.9% / 365 = 0.035%
Saga - 2% (ie the fee)
So, the cost of "several" (I'll assume 3) £250 withdrawals each week per month is:
Halifax - £750 x 0.035% x 4 = £1.04
Saga - £750 x 2% x 4 = £600
