Error message

My friend gets the following error message -

Error loading C:Users\mp\AppData\Roaming\jcdcaco.dll

She cannot conect to her wireless network now at her home and the laptop cannot connect or find the wireless network I am using at my home.

The laptops are now in the same room.

The wireless indicator light on the laptop frame is glowing yellow along with power and fan lights which I presume indicates that a wireless connection available.

It is an E-SYSTEM EI 3103 on Vista

Rarely a good sign. Hopefully one of the virus experts will be along soon.
I'm dreaming of a white Christmas.
But, if the white runs out, I'll drink the red.

Unlikely, normally just means the Wi-Fi is switched on, on the laptop. Wireless connections if available, would be indicated on the task bar.

Have you tried a full shutdown and restart?

Thanks for the info. I have run ccleaner, eusing and Malwarebytes and can now connect the laptop to the net, however this message still comes up -

    Error loading C:Users\mp\AppData\Roaming\jcdcaco.dll

I am running Superantispy at the moment.

  • Definitely smells like a worm.

Since you've got ccleaner installed, have a look in the startup sequence and see if you can stop it trying to start at startup.
