Competitions Discussion Thread Part 13

I think they should stay on this forum as they are comps,
BUT
I wish people would put for example "Win holiday to Bermuda 13/04 TWITTER/FACEBOOK", just as they would writing "effort" etc. Not everyone seems to do this unfortunately0 -
ok maybe your right being somewhere else would probably confuse my poor little head x0
-
i also agree they should stay on the main comps board, but with twitter/fb in the header, then people who dont have it can skip them0
-
I agree, I do wish everyone would mark them in the header. There seem to be SO many Facebook ones at the moment!
Don't want to seem ungrateful to all the amazing comp posters though:T

I agree that they should stay on the main board but twitter/facebook should be put in the title, the same with blogs.2012 wins:
Thank you to all competition posters0 -
Personally, I'm happy to have them kept on the main comps thread, but marked clearly in the title as FB or Twitter. Even those of us with those accounts don't necessarily want to enter comps with them - it just means a load more spam on those accounts as well.0

I realise that I am relatively new to this forum, but am I the only person here who is getting a bit fed up with the constant facebook and Twitter competitions ??
Not everyone uses these things !
can I suggest a seperate forum page for them ?
any ( clean and pertinent ) comments ?
Nearly as annoying as people posting general chat on the main board:cool:
There won't be a seperate forum/sub forum just for facebook/twitter just because the odd person is getting fed up with them.I don't enter dvd/cd comps but you don't find me demanding a sub forum for them:)Darren0 -
It's a click to open, see its not something u want and click to close,(5 seconds max) I'm grateful people post a comp so my effort of two clicks is nominal in the scheme of it all xx
Using the angry face does come across as ungrateful, people spend hours posting comps for other peoples benefit when they could actually be entering comps xxxx#JusticeForGrenfell0 -

Could not have put it better myself "Those who try to make sense of the world are divided into four categories: scientists, theologians, philosophers, and fools. Correction ... make that one category with three sub-divisions" -- Carlo Kensada0 -
Using a title tags consistently ie FB, Twitter, etc, when posting comps is mentioned in the Proposed Comping Guidelines Discussion Thread (see post 3 there) for the Comps Board.
Proposed New Guidelines Thread
I wish a few more people would read through it, and see if we have missed anything out, or even just comment that we may have covered most things, instead of the ongoing Regs - separate forums sagas.
Suggested Title Tags, to help people Enter Comps
a) Please mention Kids, age guidance, photos/purchase required, effort, email, text, postal, phone, newsletter sign up, etc in title if entry requires these.
b) Please mention FB, Twitter, Blog if the comp is hosted on these sites.
c) Please remember to add Daily, Weekly or Monthly when posting a comp with multiple prizes or entries. These also need to be linked with the relevant StickyMy light may be on, but that doesn't always mean I am looking at the PC - I am far more likely to be cuddling or feeding Tianna atm, so please don't think I am ignoring you if I don't reply quickly
Our Precious Baby Tianna has now joined our Family, she is much loved and very welcome, xxx0
