Quote for car insurance renewal came in - £424 . Around the same as last year and I was expecting more due to the EU directive that women can't be treated differently from men . Thought I'd do a shop-around though didn't hold out much hope as it's been around the same for the last year or two. £265 :T:T:T:T:T. And old co have already sent me evidence of no claims discount :j. Just need to wait till next week and new credit card month before paying :D. Had allowed £480 in budget so chuffed with that :).

    :) Mortgage Balance = £0 :)

Gallygirl, well done. :) It just goes to show! £159 is a pretty massive difference :( I always shop around and I'm sure I've made savings close to that in the past too. I don't really quite understand people who don't.

I see re. your children. Really I'm not one to speak about leaving them to it. :o However, I am starting to wonder if our son would be better off in the long run not getting a load of money given to him at a young age.

i would have spent it if she had given it to me :o but it meant i could buy my house :) anyway she didnt have a choice as gran would have haunted her :rotfl:

Tell me about it, I spent £250,000 my parents gave me to "invest / buy a house with" when I was younger. My house isn't even worth that now. :o
    2018 totals:
