  • Morning,

    Happy payday GG :j:j:j

Good luck with the paper gremlins - I'm going to tackle the financials this weekend and wrestle them into submission :T

    Tilly x x
    2004 £387k 29 years - MF March 2033:eek:
    2011 £309k 10 years - MF March 2021.

  • Happy payday GG :D

    This weekend I will be:

    - gardening

    - baking a cheese & pickle bread (using HM spicy pear pickle) and a chocolate brownie cheesecake with cherries (that I will pick this afternoon) for a neighbour's garden party

    - refurbing my old ottoman - the paint, foam and fabric have all been delivered this week

    - touching up the painted walls that have already been scuffed

    - applying a wall sticker to the landing wall

    - supervising Mr MWC putting up a floating shelf

    - deciding on which of our holiday photos to print and display in my new photo frames

    - hanging the new photo frames

    - choosing carpet

    - trimming the privet hedge in the front garden (it didn't look too bad but the neighbours both sides did theirs last week and now ours looks terrible!)
Mortgage at highest (April 2008): ~£195,000
    Mortgage-free: January 2021
Retired: June 2022 (186 months early!)

Our neighbours keep doing that to us too - it's very annoying!

    Happy payday GG :j

Oh dear. Really don't know where the weekend has gone :o. Did manage to sign up with BT instead of Sky and looks like it will be cheaper :j. Sick of Sky and their 20 minute waiting .

eDigital has been a nice little earner last few weeks :j. £180 since 11th July, and £29 paid already :T. If any of you have gone through the sign up (you need to do a trial review 1st) can you please drop me a PM with your name & email address please. Then they will give me so much money I can retire next month :rotfl:.

4 day week this week for me :T. And finishing early one day (but for a funeral so that doesn't count :o).

Splashed out £2 for charity for a balloon horsey :o. It is pink with a purple mane and has made me very happy :D.

Really need to do the finances though .

How you going with deciding which funds for the pension ?

Have to admit I feel like I need a refocus myself :(

No comment :o. Think I'm going to look at UK Smaller Co's. Have a very high risk strategy which I try to mitigate by spreading the high risk about the world :rotfl:. I have 25% of monthly conts going to Emerging Asia, 10% Africa, 9% Emerging Europe & Russia, 8% MENA, 7% Japan. Things seem to be looking up here so will have a look when I get a proper chance.

    Her face has deflated :(.

£1.52 TT and £5 Halifax Reward today :T.

Only just been paid but so far looking like there will be money left at the end of the month :T. On the other hand though, in the house accounts there will be credit card bills left at the end of the money :rotfl:. Mainly because of overseas bank account top ups and paying keyholder for the year, plus some for cleaning. May just scrape through - but here's betting my builder who is very slow to invoice gets his finger out :o.

    GG :)

I have some emerging markets myself, I'm kinda spread betting though, trying some higher risk ones and some safe ( define safe lol) ones

It's a quandary, have read Tim Hale again and every time I do I learn more ( or relearn what I've forgotten previously)

From what I gather now ain't a great time for the bonds but I have no bonds at all just equities, so part of me is thinking should I get some bonds even though it ain't a great time bond wise

Sigh it's just so complicated lol

My pension money is invested in countries you can't quite place on the map. But we either used to own them or we beat them in a war.

    Is that better :D?

£1.36 Tilly Tidy (oops, probably lost you again :rotfl:)
