    Co-op near me is open 9-6 i checked yesturday. I am not at home at the moment but the one near my home is allways open new years day to.

    My local one is as is my Spar...no post for me till Wed cos am in Scotland....Don't know about anywhere else...anyone know if Starbucks are open?

    Morrisons, ASDA and Boots in Newcastle upon Tyne are all closed. Tesco extra kingston park is open. Think it really must depend on your area. Someone said big Boots stores are open but Newcastle eldon square is the 2nd in the company and they are closed today.

    argos near me is open so is boots and mothercare (clarks inside is open too) but big morrisons is shut, dunelm mill is open but no buses running in this area.
