Strange, all these people years ago, going to and fro across the Atlantic - but the reverse was never true. Americans, except rich ones, don't *pop* over to Europe and back. Or maybe that's just my perception.
Happy shopping - don't have the pesto and the peanut butter together though, I'm not sure its a good combination.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

I think you're right about that, Gill - of course, most of them were emigrants, glad to shake the dust of wherever they were from off their feet. My ancestor, Patrick, for instance - once he considered himself an immigrant to America, he never came back, even tho his sons came back to fight in World War One. Which reminds me, since its free weekend, to look them up on ancestry.co.uk.

Only 37% of Americans have passports.
And my favourite quote on the matter: “I get to go to overseas places, like Canada.”

And pesto might make it look like you had a grass roof?!

Gill, and particularly, most particularly, Z, that is **priceless** :j:j:j
But Z, you are norty too - I followed your link (as I always do, to see what on earth you've found on the web now) and that figure is *issued* - the figure for "in circulation" is quite a lot bigger. But its still less than a third of the US population, and most of those are for travel to Mexico or Canada, I'm sure.
Well, I had somewhat of a catastrophe at Asda  any reader of this thread will know that I like pestoand Asda didn't have any of my smart price pesto :eek::eek: I'm going to have to do what Pippi does next year, start up a whole area devoted to basil growing
meantime, I need to cut down anyway (the level of fat was upsetting my stomach
:o:o) so, hmmm, more chili, I think - which will also have an area devoted to it next year.
Much too early for anything listy, so I'm wandering about for now ...2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Morning KC
I have mixed luck with basil growing, it grows happily in pots in the kitchen, but I've never been able to successfully grow it anywhere else. In the amounts I use, that's fine, but at the moment its looking a bit lost as it doesn't get enough sunlight.
Will pop back later to see your list.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0
