if u have bad credit and have dept that was forgoten, be carefull my friend had people round trying to get the cash within a week.
This service uses a credit agency called Call Credit.
There are 2 other called Experien and Equifax.
Not all lenders use all 3 by a long way, therefore you will not get a complete picture of your record by getting 1 credit report.
To get a complete picture you need to get all 3.
Call Credit I think is a less mature business out of the 3.
Experian and Equifax are the main 2 established agencies.
I guess Garik use them because they are cheaper (complete speculation on my part).
This is useful (especially for free) but no way can you rely on it for a complete picture of your credit rating.
It's probably the least used agency out of the 3.0 -

Thanks for the info on the agencies, its worth bearing in mind.
The credit report I got from garlik covered the following things:
- CCJs and the like
- whether your postal address is matched by an entry on the electoral register
- the demographics of your postcode
It did have a few other things, but I cant get on their website at the mo - it seems to be timing out - too busy? overwhelmed by the interest??
I will post more info back when I can - and note, that I have only seen their initial credit search results - the main point of the garlik service is that they do searches of online databases to see where your name occurs and who it is associated with, the idea being that it can alert you if you are the victim of identity theft.
ps. how do we get Martin to check it out??0
