  • Hi all does any one else have problems with this site loading??

i received my code in the post today and have entered it but it took me about an hour to get the page to load!!
  • re: Does anybody know how i can apply to have my ccj taken off if at all possible

If you've paid the CCJ, you can get this noted on your search, but it will still stay there for 6 years.

When you have paid the amount required by the Judgement, you can obtain a ‘Certificate of Satisfaction', for which the court charges £10. Send copies of the certificate to the three credit bureaux.

To have it removed completely, you have to shoe that it was made incorrectly. There are three reasons why you can have a County Court Judgement set aside:
    • If you can prove it was registered by mistake
    • If you paid the amount in full within 28 days of the Judgement
    • If you can prove that your defence was not heard at the time, but should have been

You will need to write to the court where the Judgement was made and request to have it set aside. It costs £50 to have the Judgement set aside. In all letters you send to the court to correct the mistake, please make sure you include all relevant names and addresses.

There are organisations that offer “credit repair” services; don't go near any advertisements offering to "clean your credit reference file" or "restore your credit rating" by rubbing out any record of debt.

NB. When public information about you is amended, the credit reference agency will contact all lenders who have searched you in the previous six months to tell them about the amendment

Me too! I have been waiting for ages for the page to load, it's still doing it as I type this! I'm wondering if it's gathering the info required.

I think i remember what it was for i had a fine for non payment of tv licence but the debt has now been paid so i'll be on there case now to have i taken off.

Especially seeing as though i had to sit in a grotty court all day to be told they were wiping my debt as they classed it as me serving time being in the courts all day lol.

£20? It costs £3 to get a statutory report.

Don't know where you got these figures from but garlik charge £29.99 annually (the free trial is free of course).
It costs £2 I believe for a statutory report.

The service that Garlik are offering is not the same as a statutory report.
See their website but they will be constantly monitoring and alerting you, this is not the same as a statutory report which is just a "snapshot" of your report at one moment in time.

It seems certainly better value than the services offered by Experian and equifax which I think are roughly double the price.

    Is it worth it?
For some people yes, for others no, but you can't really knock the free trial which does not ask for any payment details.

It seems to be based on Call credit.

Apologies I mean £2 anyone can make a mistake. And I got the £20 from the quote above mine which was then edited to read £2, no need to be so harsh.

Sorry didn't mean to be harsh (and can't really see where it is harsh to be honest).
Just correctly and adding some information to help people.

Got my code this morning very quickly and the free service seems to be pretty good, although haven't got the second stage yet.
