Lakeland

Looking for a fairly obscure gift on the net, I found that Lakeland sell it. I don't have one near me, but I was visiting my family 100 miles away at the weekend in a city where there is a branch, (Salisbury) so I decided to pop in and get it there.

Just my luck... the colour I wanted wasn't in stock. The lady said they'd be in stock soon - but I explained that I wasn't local.

The solution? They took my payment and details, and delivered it to my work address (in four days) with no extra charge for delivery :j

Maybe it's a small thing but I was pretty chuffed :)
My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j

Lakeland are excellent, always had fantastic service. I wish Hawkshead could get their act together and operate to the same level of service that Lakeland do. I placed 3 seperate orders earlier this year and each one they let me down on them. Like a fool each time after the first order went wrong I thought I'd give it another go but was let down again.
Back to Lakeland they really do deserve all the praise they get.:T

If you see something in the Lakeland catalogue, can you get it delivered to a local branch for pickup to save postage?

Ring them and find out Lolly.

I love Lakeland - their service is fab. I use them all the time, once I had ordered quite a lot of stuff including a sock organiser which didn't arrive but they had sent me some suit covers by mistake - I rang them, they said they would send the right item and asked me to keep the suit covers sent in error.

I like the personal touch because in each parcel there is a little card signed by the person who selected and packed the order, if I am lucky there is sometimes a chocolate in the box too and I have to grab that before my partner sees it LOL.

  • Toots in that case I've been a grumpy old woman since i was 15! We're not alone though, I shared a house with my best friend at uni and the lakeland catalogue had a permanent home on the coffee table as we both loved it. I wish they did a wish list like amazon do, then i could have all the stuff that i really want.

katiepoppycat - I agree with the wish list, I love their products but as they are a little expensive for me I have to save up to get them so a wish list would be ideal.

I've never had a problem with any deliveries from them and in store they are also friendly. I was in their store in Shrewsbury at the weekend looking for a credit card holder they were selling in their Christmas catalogue. Sadly they had run out but the lady kindly suggested going to one of the banks to see if I could get a free one from them. She's obviously a fellow money-saver!!
