I joined the gym last week and been feeling guilty about it ever since so I've just cancelled my membership under a 10 day money back guarantee. I feel so much better, and less panicky about it. I know next months pay is going to be horrendous so I was just worrying about it almost constantly.

just as an FYI for everyone, I have just spoken to First Direct about going over my overdraft this morning. I transferred money in to cover it straight away and their policy is that as long as you bring the account back into "normal limits" by the end of the working day that there are no charges - absolutley brilliant!

Anyhow just checking in ...hugs for those who need them.....anyone done any experiments with cheap good washing up liquid (homemade)...currently trying 1tsp of washing soda and 1tsp of vinegar in the bowl..unblocks the sink a dream so far...don't know if it does much else. ..Hot water just doesn't get rid of the grease :(

This is going well. don't know if it's cheaper but been using it since I posted it though not measuring so much now. Just a couple of dashes of white vinegar and a wee bit of washing soda. No bubbles but no grease either. Also discovered this a perfect combo for getting mayo out of mayo jars (at the end of them when you want the jars)...:)...beware it does fizz but it works...

I get my vinegar from the cash and carry (asian) nearby and it's not expensive (about £2-3 was what I paid in jan for 5 litres) and I might use bicarb rather than washing soda don't know...

But it works better than hot water this much I do know :D....

Don't mention the PAD unless you want to hurt my feelings excruciatingly and curse. I had to spend about £80 (should have been £30 really but the DM's were too nice to miss on bay and I am heavy on the heels so they're an investment) on shoes on Friday. Then I've been having probs with my e-cig charger so I'm at least £70 down on that. So much for my PAD of the other day. I'm just as badly off now. and no refund (it's only £20 but i so need it) on one of them via paypal (it's gone to paypal but not credited on my account yet? go figure?)...so yeah...trip to Ed and Glasgow beginning of next month now cancelled. Just can't afford it :(....

anyhow that's my news...been dieting and tired from last week's high so not been doing much..

PS. If no one has proffered can I be the counter for June? I have office (friend gave it to me) and OO...so sure I can do it and I have basic spreadsheet skills...E

If they actually did the banking on Monday then I would have expected the money to have been in your account yesterday, even before faster payments that would have been normal. If it's not in today I suggest you contact them and say you are asking your bank to start an investigation into where the money is - that might get the porky telling people to move. (I once had to do this myself, after a house fire when we had no money, no home and just the clothes we stood up in with 3 small children. )
