Welcome back Erme, hope you're on your way to recovery for a bit longer this time.

Claire - congrats on the birth of the wee man, if ever there was an excuse not to PAD that's it!!

Knit and crochet at the ready...I know students that are scavenging wool from charity shops bins...I mean how low can one go?

Nah I don't like Open Office - I didn't pay full price for office (it's a copy... shhh I know I am bad :o) Glad you are feeling more on top of things.

£2.50 for me today please xx

    Have you tried Libre Office?
I am glad things are getting a bit better for you now and am sorry you have had a tough couple of days.
With regards to DH I just need to keep him wrapped around my little finger until debts cleared lol
PAD for today £3.00 to CC

Chain him to the sink, ironing board and washing machine..och and hoover....sounds kinky I know but should work tee hee..

Got out of hospital on Monday but been sick since Wednesday night so just catching up pre free tea. :)..eating a little better though and Mr M only came to £12...I got 4 pints (or was it 8? 2 cartons) for £1.25 each cos it wasn't much more than FF and it was just convenient... then they took 50p off at the till :)...

And my local M has changed it's times - again

Had a decent pad till psychotic yesterday and ordered a 3 year rail card @ £54 and today had a fixation on a floral satchel.. Didn't pay a lot (£18 inc P+P) but it's still killed my PAD...

Another success story was yet another popcorn maker (the micro one I snapped..the one from the charity shop last week had it's switch missing) and I refused to pay £24 or even more from the high street. So bid on bay = £6 including postage :)....I refuse to pay more than £10 for novelty kitchenware....It's just pointless...

And I freecycled my chocolate paint from the decorating this am and also freecycled the old rattie cage (got a new one when sick but it's better cos they don't pee on my books anymore) to the rescue centre up north :)....feels so good to freecycle..wish I could freecycle more....

Now washing up liquid or just hot water? That is the question folks..DLA on tuesday so dv little pad on Monday then big pad on Tuesday...OD is not healthy anymore...

    E
PS. Did anyone else hear the mental health and debt program on vine on R2 at lunch...when it's on inlayer I'll post a link - it was very good...and I got a mention :D

Thank you for all the kind words everyone! OH is dealing with the insurance company from now on as they were stressing me out - trying to find any excuse not to pay out :( the worst thing is not feeling safe at home though.

Blood pressure has gone up slightly (nothing like some scumbag stealing £6k worth of stuff to get your blood pressure up!) but its not 100% yet - thank you for asking :D hope you and bump are ok?

PAD for me today is £3.53 to HSBC CC please!

Anything I can do to help FF? I'm just a PM away...I know what it's like not to feel safe in your house and it's horrid...Hugs...anyone you can go stay with for a few days? Call it a dumb idea I just care..You've been good to me hun :)

I'm with Santander but haven't noticed any change? How are they doing it now, does it apply to everyone?

£169 for me today please xx

praise God I'm with N for OD.....I had one bad experience with a branch manager @ santander who wanted me to take in benefit letters to prove who I was..I complained and went to another branch..that's the one good thing about Santander - they have so many branches if one is like an elephants leaky derriere you can go to another :)

    P. 191..I will catch up...I will I will LOL

Wow I love your cherry tree!! I'm loving this whole growing things... just need to replant my sunflower seedlings as they are in a tray.

I reckon I should just try cheap wool to start with and practise and maybe use a better quality when I want to make the blankets?

Been talking to my friend today and am seriously going to attempt to clamber back on to the dfw wagon... seriously slipped with holiday and other useless spending but we have agreed instead of going out, we should all put into a kitty and have nights in with wine and a cooked meal etc etc so we are still socialising, but cheaper!

Cheap chunky and thick needles....try charity shops or a knitting mag...

Or crochet...google australia crochet for nice line drawings...do two row granny squares in trebles (doubles if ya US) and sew together patchwork style (over stitch)...looks amazing :)...

Another £1 today to OH's cc.

Psycho, I'm learning to knit using a combination of my mum and Youtube, tried reading about knitting but just found written instructions confusing. :o I'm knitting squares to sew together to make a patchwork blanket - it will probably take forever as I have to be in the mood to knit and then I'm quite slow. Trying to teach myself to purl with Youtube but think I'll need my mum to show me as I'm very confused!

Patchwork blankets are by far the best crocheted..or just cut up jumpers from jumble sales and sew together.......But then I'm biased cos I learnt to crochet before I could knit.

Got to go in search of food now.. P. 194 now

    Hugs

Thank you :D its so nice to know that people care! I am ok at home when OH is here with him, but as works nights sometimes thats when I start freaking out! I have to admit I did go and stay with OHs parents for the first couple of nights.
We did have a key go missing as well in the burglary so OH made sure that we had all the locks changed - another expense but if it makes us feel a bit safer then I guess its worth it!

Just saw your previous post about the Radio 2 chat, I didnt hear it but one of my work colleagues mentioned it said it was very interesting so when you get the link I will be having a listen :D

Hope all is well with you?

Car broke down on me today with two DD's in it lucky enough down mum and dads road so dad rescued me :T for daddy. Cant find the problem though as now running fine before this was very judderey then cut out and would not restart. (how hard is a car to drive when it has stalled on you steering impossibly hard and brakes even harder) Managed to coast onto side of road but across someone's driveway and then would not restart  I dont know what to do car does my head in really need a new one but cant afford one my dad cant find a problem as about 10 minutes after car started fine and ran fine  till next week.
Seen a car I like on ebay but OH wants to get this one fixed i dont think its worth it as car only worth 300-400 pounds.
