    Good morning all.

    Cold today :(

Had a spreadsheet and budget afternoon yesterday - so after a sort out I have a super £563.37 today.

Took ages to sort out expenses which were "mine" - i.e cash, and which to pay off the card (which never get added as PADs)

I am proud of my excel spreadsheet though - didn't let me down....:D

Ooh there's nothing like a good spreadsheet :D I use one designed by cw18 on the Frugal Living challenge and it's flipping marvellous. I don't know how I managed without it!

    Evening all

PAD of £50 for me today to make up for missing yesterday:o

I realised today that PAD is taking over my life. I was on the bus and saw an advert for the film Gnomio and Juliet and the tag line was "Welcome to my PAD!" and I read it as "Welcome to my payment a day!":p

But the question is are we 'padding' or 'paddling' - now that is the q I want answered LOL Hugs sis

Have just found this thread and it really made me want to say well done and keep trying, even if it is 2 steps forward and one back. I have been there. After over 40 yrs wed I am lucky enough to not have any more financial probs I just want to really encourage you all because that wasn't always the case, in fact I have had some horrible times.

In 1970 I found my husband had £500+ debt when you could buy a house for about £2000 and he earned £18 a week. We hadnt long wed and at 20 I was pregnant. Until then I had never borrowed a penny even though I didnt have much and at that time I even sold a present from my mum and dad to buy food. His philosophy was you cant get blood out of a stone and he ran away from it. If he couldnt pay the bill he didnt pay anything, because he didnt see things like I did & you are doing now. I paid 10s a month (50p) here £1 there and after 5 years we were debt free. I carried on with the same idea but saving the pennies and never looked back. Dont give up. I dont admire wealthy people when it has come easy, I admire people who have tried & maybe dont have much but can look at their home and one day say thats mine and its paid for.

    Well done to you all

Maybe you'd also like to join the frugal living challenge (even though ya a wee bit late) cos I'm sure we'd all love to have some of your wisdom on there :)

Can i please join your PAD thread please i have been reading thru a little of the thread and am WOWed by some of the debts paid off some are like £30k WOW. Ive had a quiet hour here tonight and working thru my finances while hubby is in work and being honest with myself this time some are only a few pounds some are a few hundred but if something is coming off daily i know id feel like i am working my way thru them --- off to write whats owing down (in a private place lol) ...

Sometimes some things have to be done by baby steps kaz and if it helps to join us then I don't see why not - though you do realise we're like marriage - lifelong LOL.

So much for my pad on friday - I spent it over the weekend on various bits and bobs :(

So no pad till Big giro tomorrow

and also I whoopsied a new sewing machine on Saturday so that's another 140 bashing of the OD...my poor OD :(. However if I'm still awake I'm taking the Mr L one back today for a £60 refund so that should help.

And I haven't cashed paypal from ebay monies this month either yet - but maybe that's cos like I think I might still put some more on ebay before the end of the month...I think the ebay bill is currently about £13 and the paypal balance is like £30....

So yeah...this is me trying to read 10 pages at a time and just debating taking the pc to the hospital this am (it's discharge day dv but you never can tell how Mr Frugal is going to be - my psych. I've done my hair though so it should go well) cos I have so much to do but right now after Dr. C and before TTO's I reckon I'll just want to nap...

and it looks baltic out there... though I have darned my new socks this am (6.30 am) cos I'd only made them a few weeks ago (£2 for the pair :)) and like I got huge holes in them on thursday

    Morning All!

Just popping in to say hi! I'm still around and all is OK, but I have no pennies. lol

So, just waiting for payday this Friday :D

Hope everyone is well, and hugs to anyone who needs them!! I have a mild cold, but nothing to write home about. Had hit the OH pretty hard though - sounds and feels awful so is resting at home today.

OK, I'm off again. Have a good day!
