i rang the company because it only asks for last 3 years and wanted to check as claim was made over 3 years ago but not signed off,he says date of claim. Also flood was caused by sheer flook, too much rain in short period (no rivers, streams or flood plane near) so have been quoted for a decent policy £ 27. i t has prob gone down slightly to last year because it is now over 3 years. so i could cancel contents, continue paying building and new policy and be better off by about £8 month ( and get cashback)
    can you have two policies?.
    thanks for your input, :j

You can't have 2 policies covering one building, how would you/they decide who will pay if you had a claim? You could well find that neither pay :(

Still selling things, have parcelled up my music magpie box of stuff and got a few more things for them, but have to have at least 10 items so have to hunt down another 3 or 4 items and can get another parcel together. BTW Christmas albums seem to get a good price!!

Thanks for the tip Jayne! :T Workout DVDs seem to go for a bit more too! :)

    Erme - I hope you're ok. hug_smiley.gif

First thing you'd need to do is check the deeds for you property. I've owned three houses (including where I am now), and the keeping of livestock was/is prohibited at all of them.......

weve had chickens for years! not sure that they are classed as live stock - you need a licence to keep the other animals such as pigs and sheep etc i know as you are only allowed these in certain areas.

and the rule on chickens is that you are not permitted to have a cockrel in a residential area - but hens arent a problem as far as i am aware
Frugal living challenge - need to revisit its been.a while !! Need to reduce our debts!!
