earthnet controllers driver

in Techie Stuff
just done a new install of win 7 on my old pc and cant get connected to internet.
i think i need to install earthnet drivers but dont know how to find them.
how can i do this if i cant get online?
any help would be great.

    Who is the manufacturer of the ethernet adaptor? Try using the motherboard utility disk to install ethernet drivers.

    the pcs 6 yr old,ive not got the motherboard utility disk,
    its an asrock p4s61, if thats any help.

    Since you installed windows 7 im not sure the drivers will work.

    I checked the model on asrock site and its only given drivers for 2000 and xp.

    But i recon it will install the drivers fine.

    I'm assuming by your post you previously had the puter working on Win7 - did you ?

    It's prolly MOBO drivers in general that are mis-matched and cant find the smbus to put the Ethernet port on.

    Look in control panel / device manager / hardware - where are the yellow asterix ?

    i was running xp on old pc,
    in device manager under other devices the yellow astrics are on earthnet controller and multimedia audio controller.
    when i double click them a box appears saying....
    device status.
    the drivers for this device are not installed(code28).
    there is no driver selected for the device information.
    to find a driver for this device click update driver..
    then after clicking says search automatically then windows could not find software for your device.

    Get CPUz

    - find out what MOBO
    - chipset
    - and if drivers even still exist for the puter

    I had this problem with my pc when i installed windows 7 other day

    On my device manager - right click on my computer select properties - my ethernet tab had yellow question mark around ethernet controllers and had unknown device listed

    i used my wifi card software and updated the drivers there that worked after i installed updated motherboard drivers.
