Perhaps I best listen to some calming music when I resume my car insurance search tomorrow. I've given up today and besides I've already declared a NSD for today so can't really go spending over £400.......

have you tried car insurance co like Direct Line Tixky?

and what about local companies? I know where I live, there is one about 3 towns away, I used to use them, they were cheaper than all the big name companies.

Have you also tried Swintons? I know people think of them as being for Students, but they used to be quite competitive.

Well I very nearly got my house insurance from swintons and then got foxed by their internet site - it was ridiculous, it wanted my mortgage company name but only had a drop down list than HSBC didn't appear on! I gave up in the end.

But I am going to try a local broker tomorrow in my lunch hour ( i did used to use them a few years ago but then the deals didn't seem to be so good so I started buying online) and if still no luck I'll try some more sites.

That's a good idea, about a local broker, it might be worth saying if he quotes £300, that you have been quoted £250 and can he match or better it.

Hi Mr 3Dogs, sneaking on at work.... shhhh, don't tell anyone.

I changed my username as it is on ebay and I don't want people thinking we are the same person. :D because we are not.

    Nothing sinister about it. x

Aesop - what a lovely name. How are Brer rabbit and brer fox, Did you read those books as a kid too~????? Just had another day at work. Still whispering. I am better though by the end of the day i could speak. Another NSD hooray!!!!

Now i face a dilemma i could have a glorious lie in tomorrow on my day off and do 40 student reports at home and tv, then some extra marking and tidying up or i could go to town for a mooch. I am going there on Saturday so i should be good and keep my NSDs till then i suppose. Then i can go mad as i have been so good for so long. Decisions, decisions.

Mr 3Dogs, if it is easier just call me A, that's what they used to do on other threads :D

Well, I looked at Wise Owl and it is associated with the word Athena, and someone already had that, and I didn't want to complicate things with numbers, so took the next wise thing, Aesop.

I loved his stories as a child and cannot wait for the day DS sits still long enough for me to read to him properly.
